I'm back from Shiseido Sale 2010
I couldnt resist the temptation and went for the Shiseido Sale today. I was on time for the sale, but to my surprise, there was already a long "snake" queue (excluding the crowd in the sale room) when I arrived.
Exactly 35mins was spent on queuing and another 20mins wasted for payment. I was inside the room for barely 15mins and was almost left the sale room disappointed. As usual, the Shiseido counters were the most crowded and Ettusais counters with the least products available.
I managed to grab the final piece of Ettusais Mascara 8g. Remaining were the mini-version of the Ettusais Mascara. The Nutri-OX, which caught my attention while queuing for payment, seems to be an ideal haircare product for Mummy's thinning hair.
Aside from that, I bought the Bain De Terre Scalp Masssage Scrub which is made of natural sugar that exfoliates impurities, dead skin cells and product build-up from the hair and scalp. I have always felt that my scalp is getting a little too sensitive with my constant hair-coloring and have even seriously contemplated visiting Phyto Hair Spa for scalp therapy.

Review of Essential Damage Control Hair Essence - Rich Premier and Nuance Airy

I'm sure you must be wondering why I gave full marks for the Essential Damage Control Hair Essence. If you had been observant enough, you would have realized that I seldom mention/blog about haircare products, especially leave-on hair serums.
I was never, I repeat, NEVER a fan of hair serums. In fact, I hate using hair serums / leave-on hair serums. I would prefer my hair to be super duper dry than be sticky and flat. Most hair serums that I have tried often made my hair feel oily and heavy after application. It also tends to worsen further towards the end of day.
So ... I am impressed that Essential Hair Essence was able to Repair my hair texture, Rejuvenate my lifeless hair and Re-style my hair for a brand new me. Both Essential Rich Premier Hair Essence and Nuance Airy Hair Essence give a complete different feel despite having the same key ingredient; High Purity Honey Oil and Ultra Shine Essence.
For Essential Rich Premier Hair Essence - Nourishing Care Lotion; it gives my hair a smooth and light feel. It was able to moisturize my hair, making it soft and manageable. And it is important to note that it does not make my hair feel heavier (especially the lower portion of my hair) which prompts me to give it full marks!
For Essential Nuance Airy Hair Essence - Anti-Frizz Serum; it wasnt able to completely remove my frizzy hair, but still manages to gives my hair a smooth feel. My hair ends tends to be more curvy at the ends of my hair when using Nuance Airy as compared to Rich Premier.

Yes, I was reluctant to switch to Essential Nuance Airy. The Essential Rich Premier has worked well on my hair type and I admit that I hesitated. Well, I sacrificed my hair for the sake of review purposes (so noble of me *puke*).
The sequence as follows;
Day 01 (28/09/10) - Shampoo + Conditioner + Hair Essence
Day 02 (29/09/10) - Shampoo + Treatment + Hair Essence
Day 03 (30/09/10) - Shampoo + Conditioner + Hair Essence
Day 04 (01/10/10) - Shampoo + Conditioner + Hair Essence
Please note that Nuance Airy Intensive Hair Treatment was excluded during trial during to the limited time given. The recommended usage for Nuance Airy Treatment / Intensive Hair Mask was 1-2 times per week.

Yes, you are right! Essential Nuance Airy does smell similar to Essential Rich Premier. But if you put in a little more effect to sniff and compare, you would have realized that it has a more feminine aroma (could it be Wild Rose Essence?) compared to Essential Rich Premier. Not only does Essential Nuance Airy lathers well, I was able to rinse my hair easily.

It was a tough choice deciding which to test out first. Should it be the Essential Damage Control - Rich Premier or the Essential Damage Control - Nuance Airy? I eventually chose to try the Essential Damage Control - Rich Premier.

The Essential Damage Control - Rich Premier haircare products were used over a period of 4 days. The products includes Rich Premier Shampoo, Conditioner, Intensive Hair Mask and Hair Essence.
The sequence as follows;
Day 01 (23/09/10) - Shampoo + Conditioner + Hair Essence
Day 02 (24/09/10) - Shampoo + Conditioner + Hair Essence
Day 03 (25/09/10) - Shampoo + Intensive Hair Mask + Hair Essence
Day 04 (26/09/10) - Shampoo + Conditioner + Hair Essence

As a regular user of Kerastase Reflection, I am used to shampoo that does not foam well. I need shampoo that are gentle on colored hair yet effective to rejuvenate my hair after each wash. My immediate response on the Essential Damage Control - Rich Premier was horror! It brought back memories of shampoos that I have tried before, cos it foams so well that I have excess for photography purposes (see the below image).
From my past experience with shampoos that foam well, they tend to make my hair tangle badly while rinsing. But I was pleasantly surprised that not only does it foam well, I was able to rinse my hair easily. There somehow seems to be a residue silky layer on my hair which I attribute to its Sunflower Oil Essence (I gave it the benefit of doubt). In fact, I was so tempted to skip the next step, which conditioner.
My hair texture improved significantly immediately after first wash with Rich Premier Shampoo. As my hair texture continued to improve with each wash and I wasnt able to see visible difference between Rich Premier Conditioner and Rich Premier Intensive Hair Mask. Seriously, its tough to feel smooth, smoother and smoothest with my fingers (I'm sure you cant too!).

I was reluctant to cease usage of Essential Rich Premier as I love the way it manages to tame and improve my hair texture. Anyways, back to topic. I have just switched to Essential Nuance Airy today, for the next 4 days, for review purpose.

LOOTS : Laneige + Fr3b
I regretted agreeing to help Clara purchase her Laneige loose powder. The trip to Laneige Beauty Bazaar today was simply a waste of time.
I went early to Robinson for Laneige Beauty Bazaar, hoping to skip the lunch crowd. My mission was to purchase their loose powder, as mentioned above. The small room was almost 30% filled and most products were already OOS. The sale stocks were rather so limited, that almost all must-buy items were unavailable.
Since loose powder were OOS, I had a quick browse and spotted the Laneige Clear C-Effector. I have often heard Clara raving about this, so I decided to buy one bottle for myself. FYI, this was manufactured in Feb'2010. I almost bought the concealor too, only to realised that it was manufactured in 2007 (which I eventually gave it a miss!).
