Review of ELISHACOY - Ricebran and Arbutin Sheet Mask

It has been quite sometime that I cease using whitening skincare products. Somehow, I feel that whitening products tend to make my skin sensitive and more prone to breakouts. In fact, I was rather hesitant to sample and review this ELISHACOY  - Ricebran and Arbutin Sheet Mask.

However, the tag-line "Are you concerned about dark face and blemishes?" tempted me to test this out. It is a face-cleansing mask containing Ricebran and Arbutin and helps inhibits generation of melanin pigments and makes skin clean by anti-oxidant activity.

Elishacoy - Ricebran and Arbutin Mask Sheet is a 100% pure cotton mask sheet (essence type) which prevents generation of melanin pigment and provides whitening effects via anti-oxidation.

Remove mask after 15-20mins and lightly pat remaining essence.

As claimed by Elishacoy, it's sheet mask is heavily soaked in essence and its texture is slightly thinner and softer than most facial sheet mask that I have tried.

I have posted my "Before and After" image. If you are trying to scrutinize my image for visible whitening effect, then it will disappoint you. No skincare product will show immediate visible whitening effect. Instead, you should be able to realize that my skin does look more moisturized and brighter.

Any improvements?

Verdict
I'm glad that I did not experienced any visible skin irritation during this sampling trial, except for the initial tingling / light burning sensation. The tingling sensation lasted almost 30secs before it subsided. I continued with the mask treatment since there wasnt visible redness on my skin.

It is bigger in size, with additional cuts for better fit.

The sheet mask is bigger in size and gave an overall better fit / coverage. As recommended by Elishacoy, its remaining excess essence can be applied onto the neck and arms. I'm sure with regular use of whitening sheet mask, it will have visible lightening and brightening of my skin, especially on my post acne marks.

Like other brands mask, after washing the face, spread the sheet mask evenly on the face and leave it for 10-15 mins before removing it. 

Before putting on the mask, the skin of my face is dry and dull, especially after washing with facial foam which normally strips off the moisture level of the skin. Unlike other brands of mask which I have used, the eye portion of this mask has an opening which gives you a choice to or not to cover the eye portions. For me, I chose to cover the eye portions for maximal coverage. The essences which is already fully absorbed by the 100% cotton mask is not sticky and alcoholic. When spread evenly on the face, it gives a feeling of tightness, very cooling and soothing, accompanied by flora aroma which was very relaxing! I actually dosed off unknowingly! 

After 15mins, the mask is still quite wet but I decided to remove it. Looking at the mirror, I feel that the skin looks more radiant. The skin of the face becomes moisturized and feels more refreshing! 

Especially for women who has preference for natural beauty care products, I highly recommend this mask sinc it has also proven its effectiveness on my skin! Review of Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask

Product : A 50ml Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask

I used this Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask twice before sharing my review of this product.

I am considered a "newbie" when it comes to clay mask. The only clay mask that I have used and is still using is St Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask. Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask is white in color and is has a slightly less "thicker" texture, a soothing and pleasant scent compared to St Ives Firming Mask.

What are the benefits of using Clay Mask?

A clay mask helps stimulates and increases circulation, tighten skin, refines enlarged pores, exfoliates by lifting dead skin cells and cleanses the skin. Clay masks are usually good for all skin types, especially acne skin, as it helps control excessive sebum production. 

What's the benefit of Lllite (Green Clay) and Kaolin (White Clay)?

Green clay works by drawing out impurities and toxins from the skin, toning and firming while stimulating circulation. It is known to clear problem skin and heal blemishes*. White clay stimulates circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing. Its mildly drying and disinfectant properties help heal existing blemishes and inflammations, while preventing new ones from forming.

* You should only use the clay mask once a week if you have dry or sensitive skin.

The results of using? Judge for yourself with the images below.

I like its smooth texture, which makes it much easier to apply. I did not experience any discomfort (eg redness or stinging sensation) upon application. According to usage directions, it has to be leave on for approximately 10mins before rinsing off with lukewarm water. However, I was surprised to note that barely 10mins, the Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask was almost absorbed into my skin. With my only experienced from St Ives Clay mask, it was supposed to harden and dry. Was it supposed to be this way? I am seriously unsure.

I did a trial on my hands to confirm my doubts.

Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask is excellent for sensitive skin** like mine. Perhaps the words "Blemish Clear Mask" gives me an optimistic feeling that it is catered specially to my problem skin and will help keep my skin clear and radiant. It is milder and I favor the after-effect of the Blemish Clear Mask as it is definitely not as drying and harsh to my skin. 

** In my personal opinion, it should be excellent for acne-prone skin too!

Question to ponder : Why was most of the Clinelle Blemish Clear Mask being absorbed into my skin, though it did leave a final "very" thin film on my skin? I am curious to know too.
